I decided to be an artist at the age of six. I won the blue ribbon at the Oklahoma State Fair and creating art that made people feel something seemed like the greatest thing a person could do. I spent the next few years begging my parents for art supplies, assisting my Dad with weddings, and experimenting in my Grandfather's darkroom.
I started shooting weddings on my own for other broke college students to pay for art supplies while pursing my art degree. After graduating from Abilene Christian University with a B.F.A. in Sculpture and a Minor in Fine Art Photography my husband and I moved to his native Florida where I worked as a sculptor at a fine art bronze casting foundry.
In 2008 we moved back to Texas and founded Tilt Shift Studios and we've been providing fine art wedding and portrait photography to fun loving, vibrant, creative people ever since.
I live in Sugarland, Texas with my husband Kyle, my little ones Archer, Emry, and Inara. I love undercooked eggs, baking bread from scratch, heavily grained wood, and the texture of well worn leather. I drink wayyyyy too much coffee and never miss an episode of Scandal.
I am a member of several photography and art organizations including:
* Professional Photographers of America
* Wedding and Portrait Photographers International
* Austin Alternative Process Photography Guild
